Canberra Half Ironman 10-11th December

Lithgow Tri should have ot least two competitors in this event. The next three months will be devoted to training for this event. For more details contact lithgowtri@aol.com or follow the links to www.canberrahalf.com

Welcome

Lithgow has the classic geography for X Tri with many cross training opportunities on offer for the novice and experienced fitness fanatic. This club has the following aims:

  • Networking those who are sick of going to the gymn and running / cycling over Hassan's walls
  • Preparing for triathalons or other Xtreme events like the Oxfam 100km trailwalk
  • The community raising money for those less fortunate in our own community
  • Promoting Lithgow and its surrounds (including Oberon) as a great place to live

It will be you the members who decide how serious and hpw committed you are. The only cost in terms of membership will be to cover public liability

SO WELCOME

Oxfam

Whilst those that completed the 2005 event weren't members of Lithgow Tri, this club grew out of their involvement. For our results see Oxfam Feedback link. A great time that was truly inspiring was had by: T Murphy, S Sargeant, M Johnston and P Jenkins. A special thanks to Murph's dad and Sarge's husband for being in the support crew.

Meets and Events

It is proposed that we meet monthly officially (or more often via networking) with the decision decided monthly as to our next activity - keep it informal and social.

Look at the Calender for the proposed inaugral event(NUNES PLATEAU CLASSIC) and please provide feedback if you think that this is a good idea
